B Capital Partners inks the acquisition of the Reuth solar park
B Capital Energy Transition Infrastructure SICAV-SIF, a Luxembourg-based fund initiated by B Capital Partners AG, purchased the Bavarian solar park Reuth, developed by Green City and currently under construction. B Capital Fund has already acquired two wind farms from Green City's portfolio. B Capital Partners sees the Reuth location as a long-term strategic investment in the German PV market.
In July, the ceremony celebrating the beginning of construction took place for the 10 MW photovoltaic plant in Reuth in Oberpfalz. B Capital Partner acquired the Reuth plant for its fund “B Capital Energy Transition Infrastructure SICAF-SIF”. The PV park is expected to supply 3,500 households with 100% green power. Its commissioning is planned for the beginning of December 2021.
Paolo Alemanni, Managing Partner of B Capital Partners, says: “This transaction makes it possible for our fund to acquire a PV plant at an advanced stage and of a significant size, a combination that is seldom found in Germany. The quality of the development, the feed-in premium and its large size ensure an attractive risk-return profile. Due to its positive impact, the plant fits in with the sustainability strategy of B Capital Partners”.
For Green City AG, the board spokesman Jens Mühlhaus explains that he sees the sale as a confirmation of the good cooperation with B Capital Partners: “For the third time, our business partner has acquired a renewable energy asset from Green City's portfolio. That shows trust in us and our work."
The technical and commercial management of the plant will be provided by Green City Operations & Management GmbH.
